Former US Secretary of State on a Program on Negotiation and Harvard Kennedy School’s Future of Diplomacy Project Bhatupe Mhango-Chipanta is a Health rights activist, entrepreneur and author of 3 books. She studied political science and public administration at the University of Malawi and Corporate Finance and business strategy at HULT in San Francisco, USA. She worked in the governance sector before joining the United Nations at 25, where she worked on programs in the HIV, AIDS Response. Between 2003 and 2005 she served as the Acting National Coordinator for the German International INGO working in democratization processes, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF), working with multiple political parties to bring about national development through inter-party processes. During the recent lockdowns in Geneva she completed studies with UNITAR in the art of Negotiation and Multilateral Diplomacy.
