This was a landmark year in universities with the arrival of the first millennials. This generation will be called upon to solve unprecedented problems, so as teachers, we need to consider what we teach and how we teach. Unfortunately, the current IT teaching generation is not rising to the challenge of millennials. Convinced of the success of IT over the last decades, the teaching generation is also convinced of the success of its teaching methods. We fail to see some fundamental flaws in our teaching and that these flaws are disserving millennial students. This talk will identify flaws, raise doubts about the success of IT teaching generation and propose ways the university can adapt itself to the meet the learning challenges of new millennium.
