Kaspar takes you through the journey of e-Residency, which is perhaps one of the most important government experiments in the 21st century. The experiment started nearly 20 years ago after Estonia decided to become a fully digital society and issuing to every resident a digital identity. In his talk, Kaspar shares how e-Residency has taken the next step to enable every person globally to become an e-Estonian and join this new global village. Kaspar Korjus is the Managing Director of e-Residency in the Government of Estonia. Kaspar started to run the programme while being 26 years old and today leads a team of eight that is working to build a digital society of 10 million e-Estonians by 2025. Since beginning, the programme has been seen as a successful government startup, in 2015 Kaspar also being listed as #1 on the Forbes Estonia’s 30 Under 30 in Technology and Finance list. Kaspar is fascinated by the idea of disrupting the governments to become service providers like any other company.
